Hela Havula
The Hela Havula is a Sinhalese literary organization founded by Munidasa Kumaratunga in 1941. The movement advocates the replacement of Sanskritic words with Hela (native) versions. It was incorporated in 1985. Besides Munidasa Kumaratunga, other prominent members included Sunil Shantha (musician), Amarasiri Gunawadu (poet) Rev. Fr. Moses A.
